Overnight K-Beauty Masks: Do They Actually Work?

Most of them? No.
They’re fun in theory, until your skin wakes up sticky, irritated, or exactly the same. Another “hydrating glow mask” that doesn’t really deliver much other than you feeling like you screwed something up, or got swindled by another TikTok influencer.
The K-Beauty overnight mask SkinTox by Re:BL isn’t one of those (I absolutely, swear on my mom, promise).
It’s a Korean hydrogel sheet mask that was originally developed for clinical use in professional skin treatment settings. In other words, not made for Instagram or Tiktok, and it actually works.
It's quickly become one of the few things we always keep in stock here at Michele Renee Beauty in Thunder Bay, Ontario because it’s not just a superficial self-care mask that you can get at any Shopper's Drug Mart. It’s a treatment. One that visibly calms, hydrates, and strengthens the skin barrier when your skin is inflamed, reactive, or just plain tired and needs a boost.
Whether you are someone who wants a mask for in-between treatments, or you aren't really an in treatment kind of person - you will absolutely become addicted to how your skin will feel for days post SkinTox overnight mask. All of us here love to use it at home after long days in the sun, too much SPF, heat, lake water, or hormonal skin flare-ups.
What Makes SkinTox K-Beauty Overnight Masks Different?
If you’ve tried cotton or gel sheet masks before, you already know: they struggle to stay in place, they dry out easily, and only rare ones do anything long-term.
SkinTox is a hydrogel mask—which means it adheres to your skin like a second layer (I do suggest hanging out without moving around for the first 10 minutes for it to stay put), melts into the skin as it cools it down, and holds potent active ingredients close enough - and long enough - to actually absorb.
Inside each mask:
PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) – a regenerative compound used in Korean dermatology for wound healing, collagen support, and post-treatment repair (yes - the famous salmon sperm ingredient. Iykyk).
Glutathione – antioxidant + brightening powerhouse to even out skin tone
Peptides – rebuild, firm, and reinforce the skin barrier
Niacinamide – calms, balances, and reduces sensitivity
There are no unnecessary additives including alcohol, fragrance, or filler. Just a formula that helps your skin bounce back without potentially irritating it.
How to Use It
This isn’t your typical 15-minute mask. You’ll get the best results by letting the SkinTox overnight K-Beauty mask sit for at least 1–2 hours, or sleeping in it overnight if your skin really needs it, and you can handle the feeling of a mask on your face for that long. IMO - it's totally better to use it overnight, but you do you!
How we recommend using it:
Cleanse
Mist or tone if you have a fave
Apply the hydrogel mask and smooth it into place. The first ten minutes are crucial - lay back and relax before walking around the house and scaring your children with it.
Continue to relax for 1–2 hours (or leave it overnight - this is best if you can!)
Peel it off—no rinsing required.
Feel into how GOOD your skin looks and feels to the touch.
Apply your moisturizer if needed, or just leave the skin alone
